Cardwell does all the not-so-glamorous work on a basketball court and does it well. He's an exceptional shot blocker, relentless rebounder, and highly efficient finisher who should be able to plug in as a backup early on in his career. Cardwell was named as the best rookie and interior defender on a two-way contract by TWT and BMB.

January 22nd, 2026Dylan Cardwell grabbed a career-high 13 rebounds last night against the Raptors, extending his streak of double-digit board performances to three games. He also added four blocks and three assists. The highlight of the night for the big fella, though, was the Spider-Man celebration he hit after throwing down a lob from Russell Westbrook.
