In the midst of a swarm of injuries for the Pelicans last season, Jamal Cain got some serious opportunity to show what he can do. He averaged 14.7 points in seven games in April and 5.3 points on the year overall.

"Cain has the size for your prototypical 3&D wing, standing at 6’7” with a 6’11” wingspan. While he’s had his moments in the NBA, in three prior seasons with the Miami Heat and New Orleans Pelicans, I think Cain has the tools to be a solid rotational player in the next couple of years. The only thing he really needs to do is add some muscle and to keep developing that three-point shot and he’ll have a place in the association in no time."
Jamal Cain saw 19 minutes of action in yesterday's win over his former team, the Miami Heat. He scored 12 points, knocking down two threes along with an alley-oop finish, a reverse layup, and an impressive offensive rebound that led to a bucket. As Heat announcer Eric Reid said during the broadcast, “This is payback for Jamal Cain.”
