It's easy to see why Kawamura is a fan favorite, but that makes it easy to forget how talented of a player he is. The little guard is wicked smart with the ball in his hands and can change the energy of games when he’s on the court. He averaged 7.4 assists to just 1.9 turnovers per 36 last season with Memphis.
Yuki Kawamura had an unreal performance for the Windy City Bulls against the Maine Celtics. He finished with 11 points, four rebounds, and 19 assists. His 19 dimes set a new Windy City franchise record for most assists in a single game.

Chicago had a rough night last night, losing big to the Heat, but Yuki Kawamura was a bright spot for them. The 5'7" guard chipped in six points, six rebounds and six assists in 26 minutes. Meanwhile, Nikola Vucevic, the 6'9" center, had just two rebounds. Most telling of Kawamura's impact last night is his +2 +/-. He was one of just two Bulls in the positives.

In a full circle moment, the Bulls have released Trentyn Flowers and signed Yuki Kawamura to fill his spot. Kawamura was on a two-way with Chicago heading into training camp, but lost his spot to Flowers right before the season. Now, Kawamura makes his return to Chi-Town. Congrats, Yuki!
Chicago agreed to a two-way contract with sophomore forward Trentyn Flowers, who was recently waived by the Clippers. Flowers, a high-upside prospect, will be joining a loaded forward room in Chi-Town. To make room for Flowers, the Bulls released Yuki Kawamura, who performed well for the team in Summer League and preseason.
